WARTA KOTA, PALMERAH -  Seorang ibu yang dijuluki ’wanita harimau’ harus menghadapi hukuman penjara selama enam bulan pada Jumat (20/11/2015), dalam keputusan yang dikeluarkan oleh pengadilan setempat di Kota Nanjing, China, setelah ia dinyatakan bersalah sudah sengaja menyakiti anak adopsinya.



Dikutip dari CCTV News (22/11/2015), kasus ini menarik perhatian netizen dari China pada April 2015, setelah beberapa foto yang tersebar di dunia maya, menunjukkan kondisi malang sang bocah, yang memiliki bekas luka berwarna merah, yang menandakan kalau ia kerap dicambuk.
Ibu adopsi dari bocah ini, yang juga bibi kandungnya, yang teridentifikasi bernama Li, telah mengakui perbuatannya menyiksa bocah berusia sembilan tahun tersebut dengan menggunakan tali skipping dan sebuah penggaruk punggung.
Wanita ini mengatakan kalau ia melakukan hal tersebut hanya karena sang bocah tak menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumahnya dan kerap berbohong, seperti yang dilaporkan oleh Xinhua.

Kini, bocah tersebut telah dikembalikan ke orangtua kandungnya di sebuah daerah pedesaan di Provinsi Anhui, China, dimana sang bocah diketahui keluar dari sekolahnya.

Li kemudian diketahui mengasuh bocah tersebut agar mendapatkan pendidikan yang lebih baik di kota.
Video persidangan Li telah dirilis pada Jumat (20/11/2015), dimana dalam rekaman persidangan tersebut, sang bocah mengatakan ingin kembali tinggal bersama Li dan bisa kembali belajar dan hidup di kota.
”Aku bukan ibu yang jahat. Aku cuma tak ingin dia berbohong dan merasa tak aman saat kami terpisah satu sama lain,” ujar Li sembari memberikan pernyataan terakhirnya pada persidangan tersebut.
Akan tetapi, jaksa penuntut umum menolak pernyataan tidak bersalah yang diajukan oleh Li dan menyatakan bahwa sebesar apapun perhatian dan rasa cinta Li kepada bocah tersebut, ia sudah sengaja melukainya dan harus mempertanggungjawabkan perbuatannya tersebut.
